While Saturn V underwent two unmanned test flights before crewed missions, SLS has flown only once. Hydrogen leaks postponed the SLS inaugural flight in 2022 and recurred during a February countdown test, delaying Artemis II. Subsequent helium issues caused further setbacks. NASA is now planning an April launch.
